These fresh snacks are low in sugar, high in calcium, and less likely to hang around and stick on teeth. Added bonus? There is little-to-no prep time:
1. Cheese: We love cubed cheese, string cheese, or cottage cheese, all high in calcium and low in acidity.
2. Raw Veggies and Dip: Think peanut butter, yogurt, sour cream, cream cheese, ranch, hummus, and guacamole. The fibers on veggies help remove debris and food particles on your teeth and dipping is fun!
3. Fresh Fruit: Crunchy fruits like apples and pears create good saliva flow to help wash away acids.
4. Trail Mix: We recommend almonds, walnuts, cashews, and any seeds such as pumpkin, pepita, sunflower, and chia.
